How does a scent affect our brain?

Scents stimulate our nervous system by going straight to our brain. This releases messenger substances and hormones. The limbic system, a part of our brain, is responsible for our attention. These can affect our mood both positively and negatively.

With any fragrance mixture of different essential oils, stress can be reduced, tiredness and bad moods can be conjured away. A scent can have a calming or stimulating effect on our mind.

One of our most important organs is the nose, which constantly "unconsciously" absorbs information. For example, if you sniff the scent of fresh coffee, it suggests that you are about to get a hot drink that will wake you up.

Train your brain to relax with a scent. Use a scent like an anchor, the more often you bring the connection with the scent and its activity together, the deeper the connection is anchored in our subconscious.
