    Name: Piper longum

    Its appearance is not round, but elongated - almost like a small pine cone. Despite its unusual appearance, the Asian long pepper is one of the true pepper plants. It is also known as Bengal pepper or stick pepper. This was the first pepper that came to Europe with the Romans.

    Taste: slightly sweet, earthy warm, hot
    Use: cream sauces, cheese fondue, casseroles, soups Tip: only use a mortar or a grater! Do not put in a spice grinder, the pepper is too hard for that! Packaging: spice jar with lid Dimensions: diameter 60 mm, height 55 mm
